Hi guys!
This might be anything from a simple question to a complicated dilemma:
Currently I have Win 7 Professional, acquired 2½ years ago from MSDNAA (?). I've just bought myself a new motherboard, HDD and CPU. I was thinking about upgrading to Win 8 at the same time as I'm doing my...
I have just purchased an Asus X501A.
It comes pre-loaded with Windows 8, but as with all laptops they come with a stupid amount of rubbish on them. Seems that laptops no longer have the product code on the bottom so you could install a standard OEM. Anyone know how I can install it without...
So you would think like the worlds biggest social site would have an app for windows 8? like not even twitter has there app but there is alot of apps that work twitter just fine but i cannot find a good facebook one. do you think they will release it on the 26th? when OEM is out there? if not...
I had no intention of ever buying a laser printer, but a neighbor in need just came by with a brand new one still sealed in the box, so I bought it. The price for the printer wasn't too bad, but the prices of genuine HP toner cartridges are. There are four different colors of which each costs...
Hey if anyone can help me out with this it would be hugely appreciated.
Basically i put a new hard drive into my laptop and tried to install windows 7.
It keeps saying bootmgr is missing, press ctrl + alt + del to restart.
The OEM windows 7 disk is inside my cd-rom drive and i went to the bios...
Two years ago I bought a laptop that came with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Now I would like to know if it's possible to upgrade my HDD and keep my OEM license, and how?
If someone has a computer with extensive bloatware and simply wants to install an OEM version if Win 7, will it work without needing the OPK since the computer already had Windows on it?
This would be using a freshly formatted hard drive.
If you are lucky enough to be using the Windows 8 Release-to-Manufacturer version, you may notice a problem. It is hard to find Windows Backup. One reason for this is that it is currently called "Windows 7 File Recovery" in Control Panel. Be advised that this is most likely a bug or mishap, but...
Anyone been following this recent development?
Looks like, at least for Windows 8, Microsoft is dumping the OEM EULA concept and introducing a new Personal Use License Model, for those of us who do our own builds.
Finally!

I'm keen to get a WIN 8 Upgrade disc in October but does anyone know what happens if I haven't got the Win 7 disc (no OEM supplied) and something goes wrong after WIN 8 is installed. Should I get the full WIN8 Install disc instead?
With October 26th looming on the horizon and the release of the all new, much touted (already) Microsoft "Surface", I am wondering if Microsoft is once again missing the proverbial boat.
Marketing thus far seems to be very WOW factor oriented. Looks good, feels good, runs great, does...
My Windows 7 Pro system DVDs are marked X15-60528-01 and X15-60529-01. Are these OEM or retail versions?
There's no other indication and Control Panel/System gives no clue.
The machine came with Windows installed from these discs.

Hello,
I have a windows 7 oem disk that I purchased and installed on a new desktop I built. I have a laptop that is running Vista and it has come time for it to go. I want to install Win7 64 on the laptop but would like to know if there is a way to use the Win7 disk I already have. I don't...
HiI installed Windows 7 on my computer about 10 months ago - after purchasing the OEM disks from an online shop together with other computer hardware for a system I was building. I activated Windows, and have used the system without issue ever since. However, in the last couple of days I've...
I looked through the other posts, and read everything but didn't find a correct answer for my situation.
As I build my own PCs, I purchased an official OEM System Builder pack at an official Microsoft reseller in Belgium. With other words I have serial nbr, COA barcodes ans so one.
Since two...
I'm in hopes someone has experienced this and found a resolution:
I am upgrading a Windows Vista 32 bit hard drive in a new build I have with Windows 7 64 bit OS. The hardware more then exceeds the recommendation requirements for 64bit but I'm curious if I have a bad disk (purchased from a...
