Lately at seemingly random times, all of the toolbars except for the language bar are missing when I startup Windows. The only way for me to get them back is to re-activate them again through the menu.
Why does this happen and how can I keep them from being ‘unselected’ from the taskbar?
Hope I am in the right section. I realise this is probably a simple thing but I can't find it.
If I accidentally delete something in an email message that I am creating and want to reinstate it, is there a Reverse arrow like there is in Word? If so where do I find it to add to the Tool bar?

A couple of days ago I did something really stupid: I tried to download a game for free by following a tutorial which required me to install a Babylon toolbar from an ad. It didn't work, so I uninstalled all the babylon stuff and scanned my computer with Avira and Ad-aware, they came up with...

Was a time when going to CP would show all its content, all its individual components. But, can go to CP & see 'categories' & maybe, wonder which has the item sought, @ that moment. CP @ the bottom-left corner is as such. CP from All Apps is the same. However, you may...

Make a New Toolbar w/ this (see below)
U'll, really, like what it gives. (Hint) a lot like its (last) name. Not quite what an Applications folder gives & much along the lines of the old start menu listings. :) & bonus, don't have to reset anything after booting-up, as you do w/ the...
Launch Windows Explorer and then click the View tab on the toolbar.
Then place a check in the "Hidden items" box which should reveal a number of hidden files and folders, the one you want is "Program Data"
Next, right click the "Taskbar" and select Toolbars, then select the New Toolbar menu...

I've watched, waited and read literally hundreds and more likely thousands of posts, both here and elsewhere across the the internet, regarding opinions both pro and con as a result of folks dipping their virtual toes into the arguably troubled waters that is the Windows 8 Metro UI.

Once upon a time I had a small icon (it might have even been an arrowhead) in the lower right corner of my display near the clock in the notification area. With it I could open a menu along the right edge of the screen of all of the items on my desktop. I could open this menu over the existing...
Suggest considering it as part of the install.
This DOES (also) apply to Windows 8:
Many people miss Quick Launch in Windows 7. Although the new/redesigned Taskbar is what it is it can still be felt that there is a worthwhile purpose served by Quick Launch. It is (still) really a nice...
My 13 year old daughter Lucy has just dropped her Dell Inspiron 1545 from a height of 15 inches :( (she tells me) !!. When she turned the laptop back on the first thing she saw was the wording "Windows is loading files", she has never see this before. When she gets to her login screen all she...
