My logitech camera wasn't working when it was plugged in so I unplugged it, and plugged it back in. I looked back and I had a blue screen. I have no idea if it has any relevance to the bluescreen but please help. I don't want this problem again.

We recently built my friends computer. We started with Windows 8.1 and that was fine until the keyboard and mouse stopped working. We tried other USB ports, disabling the XHCI in BIOS, and other things but nothing worked. We decided to clean format and switch back to Windows 7.

When I plugin an external USB hard disc or USB stick it appears that Windows 7 pops up a dialog window asking me:

I've had a couple of problems within the last few days, but even though they have similarities, they also had quite different aspects also, so I'm not certain whether they are related or not.

I have discovered a strange issue with my USB ports.
My external hard drive was reporting that it encountered an error and needed to be checked. I allowed Windows 8 to automatically fix the error. The wizard got about 70% done and then reported that it had failed.
I then entered the...

Hi,
I have a "SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash" 4GB card and an internal card reader (HP desktop). When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working...

I've established that this is a grounding issue. About one third of the time, if I plug a USB device in, ANY device, the monitor will go blank, audio will stop, and I have to manually force a restart. If I tap the device on the metal case before plugging it in, and let the static discharge, the...
