Been getting random BSOD's usually when I start the PC for the first time. Normally only happens once every other day. The PC will freeze and play sound in an infinite loop, then crashes.

PC
Intel Core i5 3570k
Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB
AMD 6870
OCZ 600watt PSU.

It never crashes during games, only on start up.

Some background programs on startup
Razer Blackwidow
Dropbox
Catalyst Control Center
Sound Blaster Recon3DI
Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Canon IJ Network Scan Utility

Link Removed due to 404 Error

Solution
Experiencing random Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issues, especially during the initial PC startup, can be quite frustrating. The symptoms you described, like the PC freezing, playing sound in a loop, and then crashing, indicate a serious system error. Given your hardware setup and the specific occurrence during startup, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check for System Updates:
    • Ensure that your operating system, drivers, and BIOS are up-to-date. An outdated system can lead to compatibility issues and instability.
    []Check System Temperatures:
    • Monitor your system temperatures to rule out overheating as a possible cause...

    []Check System Temperatures:
    • Monitor your system temperatures to rule out overheating as a possible cause of the crashes.
    [
    ]Memory Test:
    • Run a memory diagnostic tool (like Windows Memory Diagnostic) to check for any issues with your RAM modules.
    []Check for Driver Issues:
    • Make sure all your drivers are updated, especially those related to your motherboard, graphics card, and sound card.
    [
    ]Check Startup Programs:
    • Temporarily disable unnecessary startup programs to see if any of them are causing conflicts during boot.
    []Power Supply Unit (PSU):
    • Test your PSU to ensure it's supplying stable power to your components.

      Additional Tips:

    • Backup Important Data:
    • It's a good practice to back up your important data regularly to prevent data loss in case of a system failure.
  • Event Viewer Logs:
    • Check the Event Viewer logs for more specific information on the error that causes the system crashes.
