You really should upgrade to 16385.... forums have called 16384 the Frankenstein Build.Yer just saw the news myself.
I just installed 16384 on both my laptops and desktop this morning aswell
dammit!!
Glad too hear tho that they finally RTM`d
I still call fake on "build 7600".. I could see 7300 being the Final RTM build but not 7600..
Well Ive allready upgraded the laptops as of now, not had time to upgrade my main rig yet as got a few things I need to backup before I do a fresh install. Its all good tho, just glad they RTM`d at last.
Now where is Radenight? I wanna do this
How do these people have this information? This seems to all be speculation.
Update on Windows 7 RTM - Windows 7 Team Blog - The Windows Blog
I believe only a true RTM announcement from Microsoft will be sufficient for me to do any re-installing.
WZOR says that it has been signed off as RTM.
Even last night (16 hours for MSK 17.07.2009 year), we told you about the preliminary results of a vote on the final "gold code" Windows 7 INTERNATIONAL and wondering what in the vote cast 24 votes against discussing 6.1.7600.16385.090713 build - 1255.,
and now we see that those votes "against" were withdrawn to vote, and now the decision "for" votes unanimously adopted 8541, which we congratulate you and all. In the vote was attended by leading engineers of Microsoft.
What's next?
Gold code signed, but with no clear distribution.
Let me make one suggestion which is destined to be realized, as follows: immediately (ie, Saturday-Sunday) after the signing of the gold code should be rebuild or replacement in the EULA are already signed 7600.16385.090713-1255 in the new assembly has the final distribution and it rebuilt the distribution will be available July 24 at CONNECT.
And that come true my opinion, we will learn to give-schy Monday-Tuesday.
Now, on the outflow, has passed under the bridge, all that is possible, but we currently only available distributions bulk, however, and at our request, "Bill Gates" brought together a startup disk, keep in mind that cheksummy "our" distribu-tivov will be different from the original cheksumm have not yet posted on the website CONNECT distributions on the same time, we warn you.
We will publish original distributions as soon as they become available to us!
I hope you have a joke about Bill understood correctly, but in every joke there is truth!
Thank you. It was migrated to a new server and some features for speed reasons need to be disabled *reputation amongst them*. This is just the first wave of some changes I am currently working on which within the next 2-3 weeks should improve the capacity well above and beyond what is needed.Been browsing this site for 30mins and no slow downs. Good work. Rep system not working for me though. Im sure there is still work to be done though. Thanks Mike.
I would love to know what caused the change of heart....
In regards to all of this, how do you know that this isn't a checked (debug) build, even if it is RTM? No bootable image is strange.
OEMs will receive Windows 7 RTM software images beginning approximately 2 days after we officially RTM
