About DNS and Domain

Hi,
I have forgotten if we have WinXP computers in a WinServer 2003 domain,
To join that WinXP computer to a WinServer 2003 domain, do we simply have to add the IP address of the WinServer2003 DC in the DNS preference settings of WinXP computer?

Also do we simply have to change the workgroup to domain and give the domain name in the system properties of XP computer?
