Acer held a Windows 10 event in Taipei today at the Grand Hyatt to show just how well its new line of notebooks and all-in-one PCs take advantage of great Windows 10 features like Cortana, Continuum, Microsoft Edge, and the Xbox app.
At the event, Acer announced two new devices that bring Windows 10 front and center: the Aspire R 14 convertible notebook, and the Aspire Z3-700 portable all-in-one PC. Both devices are optimized with top-of-the-line audio to take advantage of Cortana’s functionality, and both feature Acer’s BluelightShield technology.
Additionally, Acer showed off the Liquid Jade Primo smartphone, with Continuum, which links PCs and Windows 10 phones to provide a PC-like experience when the phone is connected to a secondary display.
Let’s take a look at these great Windows 10 machines from Acer:

The Aspire R 14 convertible notebook (“convertible” being shorthand for “the screen folds over for tablet mode, or turns 180 degrees to display to others”) is just 18.5 millimeters thin, and weighs 3.5 pounds, but features Intel 6th-generation processors, up to 8 GB of RAM, and solid-state drives (SSD) for serious power and speed. It also has integrated MU-MIMO wireless technology, which can speed up wireless downloads – especially on crowded networks. At prices starting around $699, this convertible notebook is a great deal, especially considering the level of Windows 10 integration you get with it. The Aspire R 14 will be available in North America in late October.
Aspire Z3-700

The Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one PC is designed for productivity and entertainment tasks, and can function like a tablet or a full-on notebook. Designed as a companion that can be taken anywhere around the house, the Aspire Z3-700 is powered by Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, up to 8 GB of RAM, and comes with a choice of SSD and mechanical hard disk options. It features a full 1080p HD touchscreen, with a dedicated stylus for even more precise controls when necessary – and works with all of Windows 10’s touch-optimized apps. The Aspire Z3-700 will be available by the end of 2015, with prices varying depending on which region of the world you live in.
Acer and Microsoft frequently collaborate to provide optimal Windows experiences. We’re excited to see the ways in which these fantastic portables make the best use of Windows 10!
