I'm running Windows 10 1903 (OS Build 18362.388

I remember, in the early days of Windows 10 if you had more than one computer with Windows 10 on it when you changed the background on one computer the background on the the other computer would automatically change to that background..

I've been trying to get my computers in sync with each other so it will do that again (i'm logged in with the same account on both computers). and have enabled all the "sync your settings" on both computers but still the background on my second computer is not automatically syncing with my main computer.

An image from 'Background (Wallpaper) not syncing, even though sync function is turned on both computers and logged on (signed on)'. Screenshots show Windows settings with sync options enabled for various personal preferences.

Thanks in advance,
Bryan

To troubleshoot the issue with background syncing on your Windows 10 computers, you can try the following steps: 1. Check Sync Settings: Ensure that you have the background settings sync enabled on both devices. Here's how to do it: - Go to Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings. - Turn on the Theme toggle switch to sync the desktop background settings. 2. Check Network Connectivity: Confirm both computers have an active and stable internet connection, as this is crucial for sync functionality. 3. Sign Out and Re-Sign In: Sign out of your Microsoft account on both devices and then sign back in. This can help re-establish a fresh connection to sync the settings. 4. Manually Change the...

Manually Change the Background: Try manually updating the background on one computer and then check if the other computer's background changes. This method might trigger the sync process. 5. Restart Desktop Windows Manager: Restarting the Desktop Windows Manager could help in refreshing the display and sync settings. - Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. - Locate Windows Explorer under the Processes tab. - Right-click it and choose Restart. 6. Resetting Background Sync: You can try resetting the sync settings for the background images. - Go to Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings. - Turn off Theme syncing, then turn it back on. 7. Check Desktop Slideshow: If you are using a desktop slideshow, try changing it to a single image to see if the sync issue persists in that mode. 8. Update Windows: Ensure that both Windows installations are up to date with the latest updates to avoid any bugs related to sync settings. After performing these steps, check if the background syncing starts working between your Windows 10 computers. If the issue persists, you might need to explore more advanced troubleshooting steps or seek additional help through Microsoft Support for a more in-depth investigation.
