Windows 7 Black Screen after installation

PROBLEM SOLVED: I had to unplug my second monitor for it to boot, strange!

Okay, so my machine used to run Vista Ultimate and I decided it was finally the time for an upgrade.

I did a complete reinstall of Windows 7 64bit. The installation completed and it needed to restart. Once it restarted the welcome screen and 7 logo appeared, then the screen just goes black.

I then put Vista back onto my machine for a while.

My friend then gave me a Windows 7 32bit disc so I tried that this morning and the same issue occurs.

I used to run the Windows 7 RC and my PC is well well above the req specs.

I noticed if I boot my PC in safe mode the screen isn't black, it says something like "completing installation" (like it should on normal boot) but then an error message comes up saying that it cannot do this in safe mode and to reboot. This is so annoying as you can imagine and I would be very grateful for some help. I have searched the net and there has only been topics about back in Jan during the Beta.

Cheers
