So I bought these Bluetooth headphones on Amazon, and they just arrived today. For some reason every time they connect, my headphones just turn off. I thought it was just the headphones so I tried it on another laptop just to make sure, but it worked perfectly there. I went to Device Manager and found out that my laptop has Bluetooth 4.2, while the headphones are Bluetooth 5.0. Although I did some research, and it said that they are actually compatible together. Using Windows 10.

It's good to hear that your Bluetooth headphones are working fine with another laptop. The compatibility between Bluetooth versions should normally allow devices of different versions to connect and work together, with backward compatibility built into the Bluetooth standard. In your case, where the headphones are Bluetooth 5.0 and your laptop has Bluetooth 4.2, they should still be able to connect and function properly. However, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to address the issue of the headphones turning off when connected to your Windows 10 laptop: 1. Driver Update: Ensure that your Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can do this by right-clicking on the Start button, selecting "Device Manager," expanding...

Driver Update: Ensure that your Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can do this by right-clicking on the Start button, selecting "Device Manager," expanding the "Bluetooth" section, right-clicking on your Bluetooth adapter, and selecting "Update driver." 2. Reset Bluetooth: Turn off Bluetooth, restart your laptop, and then turn Bluetooth back on to reset the connection. 3. Forget and Reconnect: In the Bluetooth settings, forget the headphones and then try reconnecting them. 4. Power Management: Check the power management settings for the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager to make sure that Windows isn't turning off the adapter to save power. 5. Interference: Ensure there is no interference from other devices or networks in the area that might be affecting the Bluetooth connection. 6. Compatibility Mode: Some Bluetooth devices have a compatibility mode that can be toggled. Check if your headphones have this feature and see if it helps. 7. Windows Troubleshooter: Run the built-in Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Bluetooth. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be worthwhile to reach out to the manufacturer of the headphones for specific troubleshooting steps or potential firmware updates that could address any compatibility issues with your Windows 10 laptop.
