Hello,
Please help! I recently upgraded my HP Pavilion dv9408nr notebook from Vista to Win 7. I did not backup or save any Vista drivers (I know) but the system seems to run fine until it's time to start or restart. The lights turn on and off repeatedly until I've had enough and power it off and then power on again...sometimes I have to repeat this a couple times. Below is a copy of my bootlog file listing which drivers are not loading at start up but I'm not computer savey enough to figure out how to update them or if I even need them.

*****************************************************************
Did not load driver @hal.inf,%acpiapic.devicedesc%;ACPI x86-based PC
Did not load driver @battery.inf,%*compbatt.devicedesc%;Microsoft Composite Battery
Did not load driver @battery.inf,%*compbatt.devicedesc%;Microsoft Composite Battery
Did not load driver @battery.inf,%*compbatt.devicedesc%;Microsoft Composite Battery
Did not load driver @cpu.inf,%amdk8.devicedesc%;AMD K8 Processor
Did not load driver @cpu.inf,%amdk8.devicedesc%;AMD K8 Processor
Did not load driver @battery.inf,%acpi\acpi0003.devicedesc%;Microsoft AC Adapter
Did not load driver @battery.inf,%acpi\pnp0c0a.devicedesc%;Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
*****************************************************************
I didn't paste the entire log because it repeats what's above numerous times however I will if needed.

I'm new at this and apologize if this was posted in another thread...just point me in the right direction to find it.

Thanks for listining...I hope someone can help.

Jane
