I tried to start my computer yesterday, and got the bootmrg missing message. After looking around to find a fix, I saw alot of use the repair feature in the installation disk.
I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I got windows 7 through downloading it through the windows store, I didn't get a disk. can the vista installation disk be used?

Did you make a Repair CD after you installed? Do you have access to the Win 7 files to make a bootable DVD?

Did you add or remove another drive or device? If so try replacing it.

Do you have two hard drives and possibly changed the drive order in the bios? It might be looking at the wrong drive.

The bootmgr should not have been erased, but cannot be found for some reason.
