Windows 7 BSOD after new(RMA) HDD

10 days ago I received a new HDD from WD after the first one failed SMART. The PCB of the new HDD had some discoloring and kinda rusty look around the screws, but installed OK and passed SMART and Disk Check with three different utilities. The problems started after I tried to run the new Call of Duty:BO. Within minutes of starting the game the PC would BSOD severe. By severe I mean that different systems would fail to boot, mainly DRAM, but also VRAM and "bootable device" (never CPU).
I reinstall Windows but the problem persist, mostly when I try to watch a movie.
All my drivers are up to date, also all win updates are done. Running win7 Home x64 and MSE for antivirus.
I already started RMA for both RAM(it gives sometimes errors with memtest) and HDD(because of the rust on the PCB) and want to know which one exactly it is. The thing with the RAM is that it was OK before the new HDD and with the HDD- SMART is OK, also no bad sectors.
My system:
Asus Crosshair IV Formula AMD 890FX
G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C8
Corsair tx650watt
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 Superclocked 1024MB
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.40GHz
Including the last 2 minidumps from today,
Thanks in advance!

Hi there, welcome.

1) Install this Microsoft patch to update this Intel storage driver:

iaStorV iaStorV.sys Wed Apr 08 12:57:17 2009

An update that improves the compatibility of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 with Advanced Format Disks is available

2) Visit the motherboard manufacturer's website to update this NEC USB 3.0 driver:

nusb3hub nusb3hub.sys Thu Jan 21 22:22:18 2010

3) Remove Daemon Tools normally.

Install PowerISO to replace it as it is perfectly stable and the disc emulation part of it is free forever:

PowerISO - Create, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Mount, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive

4) Gotta update this old Kone gaming mouse driver:

Kone Kone.sys Thu Dec 11 01:56:52 2008

ROCCAT STUDIOS V3.0 - SUPPORT

OK, I did the Intel Storage hotfix, NEC USB 3.0 driver is the latest, Daemon tools unist, Kone driver updated. Another BSOD... The system won't boot several times blaming DRAM, it boot only when I removed one of the sticks (slot one). Another thing: my mobo has a CPU Level UP function which "ups" the CPU to sertain GHz: from 3.4 to 3.6, 3.8, etc.
Before I would always set it to 3.6 with no problems. This would up the DRAM from 1333 to 1440(or something like that) together with higher voltage- from 1.5 to 1.65.
Again this was never a problem before I installed that "new" rusty HDD.
Now the system would crash every time I use CPU level up and memtest would show errors within 5 minutes- no errors with the normal settings.

Simple here. I see the problems.

The command rate for the RAM must be changed to 2T in the bios, from the 1T it is currently set to.

The tRAS (Cycle Time) value must be changed to 27 from the current 24.

And the tRC (Bank Cycle Time) value must be changed to 31 from the current 33.

Save, reboot to Windows and enjoy.

does it matter that this was never a problem before- I am not sure about tRAS and tRC but I always used a command rate of 1T?

It did not help unfortunately, another BSOD with Call of Duty when using both sticks, no problems when I use only one, it did no create dump file this time, so I'll include the latest

another BSOD with Call of Duty when using both sticks, no problems when I use only one

RAM is the problem then, a few slightly outdated drivers there, updating them won't fix RAM anyway.

I just received the OK from the seller (OCUK) to RMA the RAM, and awaiting a response from Western Digital about the rusty HDD (it might not be the problem, but you never know what else it might cause), I'll report back with results.
You guys are great!
Thank you very much!

Sounds like RAM is defective, but I particularly don't like that 2005 RTCore64.sys file for the overclocking app.

I would uninstall the app completely, reboot with all RAM in and see how it goes.

RTCore64.sys is part of msi afterburner and to me it looks like from aug 2010,
(my win7 installation is from 3 days ago, afterburner installed today)

Code:
2: kd> lmvm rtcore64
start end module name
fffff880`07f65000 fffff880`07f6b000 RTCore64 (deferred)

The file you're showing me is not the one in the crash dump.

If you installed RivaTuner, uninstall it. I really would uninstall all overclocking utilities from the machine until everything is sorted out.
