Here's what I got: PLEASE HELP!!!!

AMD Phenom II x4 3.20 GHz
2 x 2GB Corsair Ram DDR3
Biostar TA880GB+
Corsair 400w power supply
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ
Acer H2038 Monitor
HP DVD1270 DVD ROM
Microsoft Wireless 5000 keyboard and mouse
Windows 7 Ultimate

I put the PC together my self a couple months ago..since then I've been getting random, almost always different BSOD's when starting up my PC. It seems to happen more often on cold starts after hours of not turning on the pc. I am also gettin BSOD's while using windows if I am able to load it.

-I've done a clean install of windows 7 ultimate several times.
-I've run memtest through 7 passes and haven't found errors on either stick..I also tried using each memory stick individually and still came up with BSOD's
-I tried sfc /scannow several times as well as chkdsk
-I tried startup repair...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.
-System restore usally lets me boot up after restart, but later I will get BSOD again. Sometimes I get the "referenced memory could not be read" error during system restore process and I have to reboot.
-I updated my bios after about 2 weeks of getting errors and also tried updating everything else of the motherboard manufac. site.
-I tried all windows updates for my hardware
-I ran the samsung hard drive diagnostic and didn't get any errors.
-I get BSOD's even without installing any software on clean installs
-I tried reseating everything on my MOBO
-I don't have an extra PC to swap out hardware with..

I don't know if I can give anymore useful info, but I have attached my dumpfiles and hopefully someone can please help me!!! I finally built this PC and haven't been able to enjoy it yet...PLEASE HELP.... SOMEONE!!

Solution
OK! I think I may have solved the problem.

Being that I was ONLY getting BSOD's on Cold Starts seemed fishy.

Although I had tested the memory numerous times overnight after the computer was already warmed up without any errors. I just tested it for the first time with memtest86+ on a cold start and got over 50,000 errors within the first pass. Unless you guys suspect that is anything besides bad memory, I will go ahead and RMA it. Thanks for the help
Update your wireless driver from the manufacturer's site:

netr28u netr28u.sys Wed Feb 25 21:42:42 2009

------

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete this:

BIOS BIOS.sys Wed Mar 16 02:23:52 2005

Reboot and run Ccleaner to clean the registry.

The above will fix it. Enjoy.

The above will fix it. Another one less related but yet a good idea to update is:

nvlddmkm.sys Thu May 14 23:32:27 2009
NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Kernel Mode Driver, Version 175.30

BS_I2cIo.sys Mon Jun 16 04:02:32 2008

The latest dump doesn't have the BIOSTAR I2C driver so that's already been removed and is good.

Good find on the video driver. Spponracer, also update that from here:

lol usually old is worse, of course yes. But his MS Win7 USB driver is bugging out in the other dump, and that is no doubt caused by the old USB wireless adapter driver.

Thanks guys for the quick responses!

I deleted the bios.sys file
I updated my linksys wireless usb from the linksys site
I also updated the NVIDIA GForce 9800GT driver from their site
I ran CCleaner after that

After that, it seemed like everything was good for awhile after a few restarts and shutdowns....until I got a couple more blue screens. The first blue screen appeared right after windows explorer said it needed to shut down. After the first blue screen I did my windows updates. I didn't see the other blue screen because I was in the other room. Any idea why these are coming up?

There was a failure in spldr.sys, which is the driver to check for authenticity etc...:

"BUCKET_ID: 0x109_spsys+2c256"

If Windows was downloaded or "found" from an unauthorized source, this may be the issue.

Three things to do if not:

1) Open an elevated command prompt. Run this command for hard drive partition on the system, changing C: to match each time to the correct drive letter.

chkdsk /r C:

2) When that's all done, run this command:

sfc /scannow

Let it complete and reboot when it's done.

3) Test the memory overnight with Memtest86+. If any errors show, replace the RAM in the machine.

Perhaps also scan the machine for malware with Malwarebytes, after updating definitions.

--------

You really do have a very funky version of the Windows 7 spldr.sys, which shows hacking/cracking/bad Windows copy:

spldr spldr.sys Mon May 11 12:13:47 2009 (Should be July 13, 2009.)

The sfc command may or may not fix it.

Hey guys, thanks for your help so far. Sorry I've been so busy with grad school I haven't had time to spend on my PC.

So.......

Since last time I:

- switched from Win 7 to Win XP PRO and I am still getting BSOD's
-Installed all drivers from manufac sites.
-Ran Memtest86+ through over 7 passes each with No Errors
-Ran Samsung HD diagnostic with no Errors

-I'm only getting BSOD's on Cold Starts now after hours of not running the PC a minute or two after windows loads. When I shut the PC down and startup again, it starts just fine. I am not getting them while working after that.

I'm thinking this is some kind of hardware problem such as mobo, cpu, or HD, but I don't have extra parts to test with. any ideas here?

Here are my latest minidumps. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!

Why do you suggest uninstalling it? I was having the same problem on windows 7 with Nod 32 as well. I was also having the problem with no antivirus. I will try it though.

MSE is the most stable bsod-wise, so to speak. (Kaspersky has been often noticed to cause BSOD's). You should replace Kaspersky with MSE for the period of troubleshooting. When your system is fixed and all stable, you can install whatever you prefer. For now, Link Removed due to 404 Error

Alright guys,

I uninstalled Kaspersky and installed MSE last night.

I still got 2 BSOD's in cold starts today. I attached the minidumps

the blue screens came up a few minutes after starting up when I was browsing the internet using firefox on my wireless connection. First firefox shut down, then got blue screens.
However, no blue screen after restarting and using firefox

thanks

ok, I have done one RAM stick overnightwith Memtest86+, but the other was 9 passes or so and no errors either time. I have also tried running my pc with only one RAM stick at a time and I got Blue screens using each of them.

if you recommend I still do it, should I run MEMTEST86+ with both sticks at the same time or separately?

Alright

I tested both memory sticks overnight each separately using the same slot
1st had no errors through 16 passes
2nd had one error through 14 passes (Test 7-Pass 3 Fail add: 00027e87f98 - 638.5mb Good: 09625714 Bad: 09225714 ERR Bits 00400000 Count 1)

I then cold started my pc with only the ram stick without errors and I got a BSOD referring to win32k.sys which I attached.

I dunno why..or what to do...HELP PLEASE!!!

Are you sure the good stick is in place?

Uninstall:

sptd.sys Sun Oct 11 23:54:02 2009
Uninstall this, Daemon/Alcohol/Duplex Secure

These drivers are good enough for Windows XP, but I would try to update them:

Test the hard disk too:

chkdsk /r

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: c05cee80, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: c0000102, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: b9dd0658, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: 679d7880, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)
