Windows 7 [BSOD] HP Pre Windows 8 Updates Causes BSOD

My HP Envy 4 Ultrabook was working fine until recently when the HP Support Assistant requested that I update my drivers just a few days before the launch of Windows 8. I updated all my drivers and I am getting a BSOD once a day. I tried to update all my drivers again but it doesn't seem to help. I would appreciate if someone can shed some light on how I can fix my BSOD issue. I am thinking of upgrading my notebook to Windows 8 but I am afraid my current issue of BSOD might affect my upgrade. Would really appreciate all the help I can get.

Thank you.

Solution
All 3 memory dumps blame this driver:
hpdskflt.sys Wed Feb 22 11:30:18 2012 (4F45181A)
HP Mobile Data Protection System Disk Filter
Link Removed

Please:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win7 compatible driver from the HP website.
- uninstall the current HP Mobile Data Protection System drivers
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

It seems pretty clear cut that this is the problem - but I'd suggest updating/removing the following older drivers also (just in case):

SSPORT.sys Thu Aug 11 19:07:32 2005 (42FBDA34)
Samsung printer driver
Link Removed - Invalid URL

cpudrv64.sys Tue Aug 11 12:39:13 2009 (4A819EB1)...

Likely a component of SystemRequirementsLabs CanYouRunIt - but can't reproduce it myself

Solution
Thanks for the detailed descriptions of the error caused by the BSOD. I tried HP's website and I couldn't find an updated version of the hpdskflt.sys driver. The Samsung printer driver seemed to have no new versions either. There was a new version on Windows 8 for HP drivers and so I have upgraded my Windows 7 version to Windows 8 instead. The BSOD has not returned so far.

Thanks for all your help and the trouble you have taken to diagnose my minidump files.

Since you've upgraded some of the software, let's just wait and see what happens.
Should the BSOD's come back, please zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump

Good luck!
