STOP 0x00000124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Usual causes:
Hardware, Incompatibility, May be driver corruption

The latest half a dozen dump files list hardware as the probable cause.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

You're getting a stop0x124, which means blame the hardware.

Stop 0x124 Checks
  • Ensure that none of the hardware is being over-clocked.
  • Ensure that the machine is adequately cooled. Chase out those dust bunnies!
  • Make sure all hardware related drivers are up to date.
  • Possibly update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Always...
Hi Pete and Welcome to The Forum

The computer BSOD multiple times a day and even more frequently when playing SWTOR.

Your attachment contains no .dmp files.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:
Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

The .dmp files are located at C:\Windows\Minidump. Until a .dmp file is generated, the Minidump folder may not exist.

Go to your C:\Windows\Minidump folder. Copy the .dmp files to a new folder on your desktop. Zip up that folder and attach to a post.

Do yourself a favour though. You've a load of auto start programs that frankly are just a drain on your resources. All you really want auto starting are your system (obviously!!) and security, everything else can wait until you need them.

GoTo MsConfig, Startup Tab, Disable the following:

Google Update
msnmsgr
AdobeBridge
QuickTime Task
iTunesHelper
Adobe Acrobat Speed Launcher
Acrobat Assistant 8.0
Adobe ARM
SwitchBoard
AdobeCS5ServiceManager
(Those are just the ones I personally know about)

Then go to Services and set both of these to manual:
Adobe Acrobat Updater
Bonjour (This has a long history of causing problems for a lot of Windows users (not just Seven))

Thank you for the quick reply. Sorry I couldn't reply sooner.
I did all you said, thanks for the start up tips. It's actually not my computer, but a friends that I said I would help try and get operating.

Here's the folder, hope it's got what you need it in this time.

See this post by H2S04 for additional pointers: Stop 0x124 - what to try.

As a Priority:

In an elevated Command Prompt, enter sfc /scannow to verify the system files integrity.
To see the sfc /scannow Results, in an elevated Cmd Pmpt enter: findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >C:\sfcdetails.txt

Run Chkdsk. Open an Elevated Command Prompt and type in: chkdsk c: /f /r then press ENTER to repair corrupt sectors, if there are any.
NOTE!!: The root drive has to be C: and the command may ask to schedule a chkdsk at system startup. If it does, then press Y to schedule a task and restart the computer to perform chkdsk.
Once chkdsk completes it will boot to the desktop. You can check the log of chkdsk by going to Event Viewer >> Windows Logs >> Application. Under the Source column locate the Wininit entries.

Some hardware tests you should be prepared to run:
Run the correct Link Removed for your HDD.
Memtest86+ iso download.
Guide to using Memtest86+
Link Removed Run the "Blend" and "Small FFTs" tests.
Link Removed

Run Memtest86+
overnight, after your computer has been off for about an hour or two so it has a cold start. Ideally let it run for at least 7 passes / 6-8 hours. If errors appear before that you can stop that particular test.
Note!! Any time Memtest86+ reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad Mobo slot. Test RAM sticks individually. When you find a good one then test it in all slots. Post back with the results.

There have also been a few bios updates. Latest is 10.8, installed is 10.4.
