Windows 7 built in High Definition Audio doesn't work

I guess I need to join in here too. Though my problem is slightly different. According to all the info I have available - I have the correct drivers installed and when I do tests - the meters show sound is being produced by the soundchip. However nothing is being heard. Like those above its an onboard realtek hd soundchip. It works perfectly well under XP (this is a dual boot pc), but is deathly silent under 7. Motherboard info should be on my profile but its a foxconn.

Ive still not got any resolution to this. Can anyone help please?

It sounds like you'll just have to wait until they release a Windows 7 specific driver for your motherboard.. Unfortunately that is the case with some motherboards as the most recent Windows Vista drivers don't always work.. ;)
