Hi,
When I try to install (through VirtualPC/VirtualBox/every virtualization program iv'e tried) it fails. A few seconds after it say's starting windows the error appears (attached). Could the installer be corrupted, it had a few pauses during the download? I am willing to re-download it if enough people think its the reason.
I am running:
Vista Home Basic
150gb (im giving it 30gb)
2gb RAM (im giving it 1gb)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 (running 32-bit)
NVIDIA Geforce 7000M
Thanks, Shaun.

It sounds like you're encountering an error during the Windows 7 installation process in your virtualized environment. Before you go ahead with a fresh download, let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue without having to re-download the Windows 7 installation ISO:
1. Check the Integrity of the ISO:
- Before starting the installation process again, verify the integrity of the ISO file you downloaded. You can use checksum tools to ensure that the file was not corrupted during the download process.
2. Allocate Sufficient Resources:
- Ensure that you are allocating enough resources to the virtual machine. Since you have 2GB of RAM, assigning 1GB to the virtual machine should be sufficient. Ensure that the virtual hard disk size is also appropriate for the installation.
3. Enable Virtualization Support:
- Check if virtualization technology (hardware virtualization) is enabled in your BIOS settings. Some virtualization software requires this feature to be enabled for optimal performance.
4. Try Different Virtualization Software:
- If the issue persists, consider trying a different virtualization software like VMware or Parallels Desktop to see if the problem lies with the specific virtualization program.
5. Update Virtualization Software:
- Make sure that your virtualization software is up to date. Check for any available updates or patches that might address compatibility issues.
6. Recreate the Virtual Machine:
- If none of the above steps work, consider recreating the virtual machine from scratch, ensuring you follow the system requirements and allocate resources appropriately.
7. Re-Download the Windows 7 ISO (if necessary):
- If all else fails, re-download the Windows 7 ISO file to rule out any corruption during the initial download.
By going through these steps, you should be able to determine whether the issue lies with the ISO file or if there are other factors causing the installation error.
