I'm running the RC build of the operating system, which is 7100. Whenever I reboot my system, the cursor set I've created and saved isn't preserved as the default mouse pointer. It always reverts back to the default Windows cursor, and it's irritating.

Any ideas? I'd appreciate it. =]

Solution
It seems like you're encountering an issue with your custom cursor settings not being preserved after rebooting your system in the RC build 7100 of the operating system. Here are a few steps you can try to fix this problem: 1. Permissions Issue: Ensure that the user account you are using has the necessary permissions to save and apply custom cursor settings. Sometimes, permissions issues can prevent settings from being saved. 2. Check Cursor Theme: Double-check that the cursor theme you've created is actually saved on your system. Sometimes, the theme might not have been saved properly, leading to the default cursor being loaded. 3. Apply Settings: After changing the cursor theme, make sure to apply the settings and save them before you restart your system. This ensures that the changes are saved and applied correctly. 4. Registry Settings: You can try checking the registry settings related to cursor themes to see if there are any discrepancies. Be cautious when editing the registry and create a backup before making any changes. 5. Third-Party Software: If you are using any third-party software for custom cursor themes, ensure that it is compatible with the RC build 7100 of the operating system. Updating the software might resolve compatibility issues. 6. Group Policy: Check if there are any group policies set that could be overriding your custom cursor settings. Sometimes, group policies can restrict certain changes. 7. Driver Update: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with custom settings. Give these steps a try and see if they help in preserving your custom cursor settings after a system reboot. If the issue persists, let me know, and we can explore further solutions.
