I have my computer hooked up to my monitor and my TV. What I want to know is, is there anyway to make it so when I click a shortcut on one desktop it opens on that same desktop. For example let's say I have a Firefox shortcut on my monitor desktop and another Firefox shortcut on my TV desktop. I want to be able to click on the monitor FF shortcut and have it open on the monitor and I click on the TV FF shortcut and have it open on the TV. Right now if I click the shortcuts on my TV desktop they open on my monitor since I have it set as my primary monitor. Any help would be very much appreciated.

To achieve what you are looking for, where applications open on the specific monitor to which they are associated, you need to set up different virtual desktops for each monitor. This way, when you click on a shortcut on one desktop, it will open on the associated monitor. Here's a general guide on how to set up separate virtual desktops for each monitor in Windows 10: 1. Set Up Virtual Desktops: - Press the Windows Key + Tab to open the Task View. - Drag and drop the application windows to the desired virtual desktop at the top of the screen. 2. Assign Apps to Specific Desktops: - Open the desired application on the respective monitor. - Right-click on the Taskbar icon of the application. - Hover over "Move to" and...

Manage Virtual Desktops: - You can switch between virtual desktops using Windows Key + Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow keys. - Each virtual desktop will have its own open applications associated with that desktop. By setting up virtual desktops for each monitor and assigning applications to specific desktops, you should be able to control where applications open when you click on their shortcuts. If you have multiple monitors set up in extend mode and want to ensure applications open on specific monitors, setting up separate virtual desktops is a good workaround. This way, you can associate applications with specific virtual desktops and maintain control over where they open.
