I just ran checkdisk in Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1511 10586.122 it goes to 15% sit's there for about 10-15 minutes, then my pc restarts and the screen say's it's 100% done.
Has anyone else noticed this ?
P.S. Times are on a 256GB. ssd, a hdd will take longer.

Hi,

In the past i did notice this on XP and 7 computers. But a slightly different behavior. It usually goes to about 60% and then comes back to 15 - 30 %. Again, that was on the traditional HDD's. Have you tried running chkdsk /f /r?

Edwin

I don't use it, but, after reading your post, I ran it on this laptop (650Gb hdd) It took about 45 secs, with no errors.

Try it with the Aminstartive Command Prompt and Chkdsk C: /r command. I forgot to mention that's how I ran it.

Hmm. Looks like I have ruined my chances of doing that. Maybe another member can assist in a comparison. I got this:

An image from 'Has anyone else noticed this'. The message indicates no errors found on the drive, but scanning is optional.
