I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ430E. 3GB of RAM. Core 2 Duo processor's @ 1.83GHZ ea. 32 Bit Operating System. And i installed windows 7 beta and now my SD card slot and my headphone jack doesn't work! its kinda making me mad. any suggestions?

I would go to the sony website and download the audio drivers they provided. Otherwise go to the Realtek website and download the audio drivers from there and see if that helps. Oh and make sure to download the vista drivers unless they have windows 7 pre release drivers already.

I have read a little about "headphone sense", primarily on linux forums. If I understand correctly, you need the HDA sound driver. See following in the 21-30 post page.

\"after ridding a new hp Pavillion of Vista and installing XP and all the necessary drivers, everything worked except the headphone sense feature (turns off speakers when headphone is plugged in. Upgrading driver to this one (actually older than the one I had) cured problem.\"
