I have a new Dell XPS, running Windows 7, so I think it's very recent, but HELP directs me to Help/About Internet Explorer, and when I click the ? I can't find such a thing. I'm attaching pictures of the HELP that I found and the top part of my Explorer window.

Solution
Click on Help on the menu bar, the click on About. If the menu bar is not showing first right click in the top area of IE and select menu bar.

Thanks. My menu bar was not showing and that worked. Is there a way to mark a thread "answered?" in this forum?

Thanks again,

No, sorry, that didn't work. I applied your instructions to INTERNET explorer. I was asking the question about WINDOWS explorer. But on reflection, I guess Windows Explorer doesn't have a separate version number. So I was getting explorers mixed up too! Well, now I know how to get the menu bar on IE if I want it. :-)
