Hi,

I want to stop the windows automatic update feature, but from what I can see it is already disable, I am sick and tired of turning my PC on just to have it in a go slow mode because its more interested in updating things and running virus checkers instead of doing what I want it to do, any ideas?

I ran services.msc and found Widows Update is set to Manual, I'd also like to turn off antivirus and malware too.

Thanks in advance.

    ]Antivirus Software:
    • Open your antivirus software from the system tray or Start menu.
    • Look for an option like "Real-time Protection" or "Automatic Scans" and disable it.
  2. Windows Security:
    • Access Windows Security by typing it in the Start menu search.
    • Depending on your Windows version, find settings related to antivirus, ransomware protection, and other security features, and disable them. Always exercise caution when disabling security and update features, as it can leave your system vulnerable to threats. Consider scheduling manual updates and scans during non-working hours, or look for a way to postpone updates without completely disabling them to maintain system security.
