Windows 8 HP Deskjet 3050 printer giving some trouble!

recently i upgraded from windows xp to windows 8.1, installed all required driver, but my printer drive cd is lost, so downloaded from a site. now its not detecting with my win 8, no printing, what to do now?
is that downloaded drivers are correct to win 8 or not tel me!
hope to have fast reply to my issue!

hp makes no promise that it will work in 8.1 but there are people in the forum that say they got it to go.

I suppose it is a good sign the drivers ussnorway references are available. But if the printer isn't being recognized, what type of connection are you using and what settings do you show in the Devices and Printers dialog box, Printer properties (not just properties), and the Ports tab?

The other thing is the drives have versions or PL5 or PL6 or Postscript. Do you know which one your printer uses?
