Hey, got my 7 disk through today.

I debating over whether to cop out and use the upgrade over a clean install.

My biggest issue is i'm running a MSI P6N SLI Platinum and on the manufacturer site they have limited if any resources for the switch over to windows 7,

My graphics card i'm running a BFG, but as its and nVidia im not too bothered about that as it should sort itself out with windows 7.

Any advice?

P.S. I dont care about loosing software as it wont take me long to reinstall office, itunes and steam

A "clean" install is the correct way.

An upgrade leaves hundreds of useless files on your system.

Cheers bud, just a bit worried about the motherboard driver, guessing though that 7 should have the support for as its a few years old now.

Well I'd at least give it a try before investing in a new motherboard or computer.

My Windows 7 runs fine on a cheap $399.00 E-Machine which included a 22" widescreen monitor.

I'm sure the motherboard on that one was very cheap.

True, mines a custom built machine, tailored to Vista initially so should run fine
