Hi,

Recently i bought a new samsung laptop (NP300E5Z-S08IN).

I am using WIFI ROUTER as medium for browsing internet.

My laptop is showing it is connected to WIFI router.

But Browser (tried with all browsers IE7,Chrome,Firefox) is not loading the requested webpages even after a hour of request.

With the same WIFI router, i can able to browse in my another laptop, there is no problem with WIFI router.

I'm not understanding why i could not able to browse in my new laptop.

I doono whether it is a s\w problem or h\w problem or configuration problem in laptop.

Can you plese let me know how i can solve this issue.

Regards,
Naga Manjunath

Hello Naga Manjunath, It seems like you're facing an issue with your new Samsung laptop (NP300E5Z-S08IN) where it shows as connected to the WiFi router but is unable to load webpages in any browser you've tried (IE7, Chrome, Firefox). Since you can browse on another laptop using the same WiFi router, the problem might be specific to the new laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Network Settings:
    • Ensure that the WiFi connection on your Samsung laptop is actually connected to the correct network. Check if the laptop has obtained the correct IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server.

    []Restart the Laptop and Router:
    • Sometimes a simple restart of both the laptop and the WiFi router can resolve connectivity issues.
    [
    ]Diagnose Network Issues:
    • Run the network troubleshooter on your laptop to diagnose network-related problems. This tool can often identify and automatically fix common connection issues.
    []Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings:
    • Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the connection to the internet. Temporarily disabling them for testing purposes can help identify if they are causing the problem.
    [
    ]Update Network Drivers:
    • Ensure that your network adapter drivers are up to date. Outdated or faulty drivers can cause connectivity problems. You can update them through the Device Manager in Windows.
    []Disable Proxy Settings:
    • Check if there are any proxy settings configured in your browsers that might be affecting internet access. Disable any proxy settings and try browsing again.
    [
    ]Reset TCP/IP Stack:
    • You can reset the TCP/IP stack through the command prompt. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and enter the following commands:
      Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset
    []Check DNS Settings:
    • Try changing your DNS server settings to a public DNS like Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and see if that helps resolve the browsing issue.
    [
    ]Check for Malware:
    • Scan your laptop for malware using a reliable antivirus program. Malware can sometimes interfere with internet connectivity.

      Additional Tips:

      • Ensure that your WiFi adapter is functioning correctly and not disabled.
      • Verify that your laptop is not in Airplane mode or any other power-saving mode that might restrict network access.
If after trying these steps you still can't browse the internet on your new laptop, it might be beneficial to contact Samsung support or a local IT professional for further assistance in diagnosing the issue. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any other questions!
