Windows 7 joining 2 PC via LAN cable

i have laptop and desktop PC both on windows 7...
i want them to put in network to play lan games...
sry if im blind and didnt find post like this... =(

If you do not have a router with switch lan ports, or a stand alone switch or hub, perhaps this article might help
