Windows 7 Language Change - Windows XP to Windows 7

I was given a computer with the Windows XP Home FRENCH (Canada) operating system. It is a pain to use even though I speak french. I want to upgrade to Windows 7. If I purchase an ENGLISH version of the upgrade software, will my new O/S be in English? I'm looking for a low cost way to get this computer to a legit English O/S. Any help is appreciated!

Yes, if you buy the English version it will be in English.. Another idea would be to buy the 'Ultimate' version as extra languages are available through Windows update...
