Windows 7 Laptop will not stay calibrated

I recently purchased a new Dell N5010 Inspiron laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and whenever I try to calibrate my display, the settings stay for a while and then revert back to what they used to be. How can I stop this from happening?

I have the same problem, although It has only recently started happening, I have a 'Hp Compaq Presario' laptop. The colour is too high, whenever I try to set it low again it go's too high after a window pops up or I use control-alt-delete. So help please too?
