Windows 7 laptop won't go I online

Hi, I have an Asus X5DIJ . Recently I have had a few BSODs. I uninstalled a couple programmes I had recently added but no luck. Then yesterday when I started it up the screen just went blank then a message popped up saying something along the lines of cannot find startup files. I then ran a startup repair but that was unsuccessful. I now cannot get online, even though it says connected network centre. I've run system restore from
2 different restore points but no luck.
Any help appreciated

The link will describe what we need you to post. If you find that your machine hasn't produced any dump files (created when a machine blue screens) then you'll need to change your settings like this:

Go to Start and type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump << where your .dmp files can be
found later.
Click and apply to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

You'll then need to wait until your machine bsods again before a dump file is created. If this is the case what you could try in the meantime is re-installing or even updating your drivers. Laptop drivers are supplied by the manufacturer and your support page is here:

You could also try continually pressing the F8 key whilst booting (you may need to try this a few times) to enter the advanced Boot options. Look for 'Last good known configuration' and click that.
