right now im running wpa with AES and heavy downloading as i am writing this message. The load has been on now for min and still no problems. will update tomorrow with results

ok I finally got around to this. I hooked up my computer to the router by a wire and the other PC is still having connection issues wirelessly so sometime in the near future I will buy or obtain a new router to see if that regulates my poblem. I have a feeling that it is the radio signal on the router that is not working.

ok so I got a new router and the problem still doesn't seem to be solved. this problem must be something with windows firewall and router settings. i've tried everything and i'm out of ideas. anyone got any other ideas?
