Windows 7 Limited Access (Dell Laptop) - Very Frustrating

Hello,

I've read through a good number of similar problems/posts on the site and tried the suggestions but nothing is working :(

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop that won't connect wirelessly to my network. ALL other devices in the house (iPhones, iPads, iMac, 1 laptop and another desktop) work fine, no problems. I've tested the laptop at my girlfriend's house using her wifi and still the same problem: Limited Access.

I've ran the troubleshoot, re-booted the router & laptop, checked device manager for any exclamation marks against any drivers (none), tried disabling/enabling the driver, checked for driver updates (none), done a system restore and uninstalled my antivirus software but all to no avail!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Edit: I've tried plugging in the ethernet cable which, although not particularly straight-forward, eventually works.

Go to command prompt and enter the command:

ipconfig /all

It will show the config of your wireless device. If you have problems interpreting it then please post the output here.

That all looks ok - sounds like something on your pc blocking it. Has it just happened recently or has there always been a problem? Have you had Norton installed on there? You said you'd disabled antivirus but do you also have a firewall? Try disabling that also.

It has always happened since purchasing the laptop from Dell. Well, sort of. It occasionally allows me to surf the internet for short spells but at an incredibly slow speed, despite my broadband being very fast on all the other devices. For example, a 3min Youtube video may take over an hour to buffer, or it may never buffer at all. I've never had Norton installed, nor have I had AVG installed as I read that an 'AVG filter' can cause a problem. I had AdAware installed. There are no firewalls installed except the default Windows Firewall.

The only other antivirus sort of thing that's installed is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, not sure if that's related?
