The Netgear WG311, along with the Trendnet TEW-423PI (B revisions 1 and 1.1, which is what I have) use the Marvell 88w8335 chipset. Like you, I could not get the wireless card to work using the Trendnet or Netgear drivers. However, using the Marvell 8335 chipset drivers directly, Windows 7 was able to install and get the card running.
