Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

So I downloaded the F9 one from there site and this is the error im getting Here. I dont see an option to download 32 or 64 bit.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Hi Nick, that's because it isn't that type of file. You need to extract the contents onto a floppy or thumb drive and then reboot. Press F9 (I think) and this will allow you to enter 'Q flash' which from there you can go on to flash the bios with the new version. There are a number of ways to flash the bios with Gigabyte boards and this page explains the differences:

GIGABYTE How to Reflash Motherboard BIOS

Your motherboard manual, if you have it, can also be useful in this instance..

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Thank you very much for the help!!

The BIOS has been updated and will check back in tomorrow night to see if this fixes the issues i have been having.

Again Thanks,
Nick

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Fingers crossed Nick :)

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Day one is done without a blue screen!!! Thanks for the help! But i am having one more issue, my computer randomly freezes. It comes to a complete the audio echos and the green processor light on the front goes out and the only way to fix it is to hold down the power button.

If you need anymore information let me know.

Thanks, Nick

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Hi Nick, can you check the event viewer (found under admin tools) and see if it has anything relating to this problem.. Thanks.

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Nothing is jumping out in the Event Viewer. I happens most of the time when loading sites with flash like youtube so it might be a flash issue.
I have already unchecked Hardware acceleration in flash settings.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Hmm... well personally I would have reformatted as settings were out of whack when the os was initially installed. Is this a viable option for you?

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in response. So i have do a complete re install of windows and the blue screening and random computer freezes. Im not sure what to do. But its been doing it at least 3 times a day. Any ideas, Thanks

Re: New to this Blue Screen (All Files Now)

So I ended up call cyberpower the company and after talking with them for about and hour they had me do a memory test. One of the Ram sticks errored out during the test so I'm running on 12 gbs of ram untill I get the new one sent out. I hope this fixes my issue
Thanks
