Hello all, I'm new to this forum because I am in desperate need of help. I just bought a D-Link Wireless USB Adapter (specs in ipconfig) and I cannot for the life of me get access to the internet, but the weird thing is I had access for like 10 minutes and it went back to this. I can login to my Bell 2Wire router/modem network and then i get no access. (yellow caution at wireless icon task tray in bottom right). My password encryption is set to WPA2-PSK (AES)

Things I have tried:

netsh in cmd
ipconfig release/renew
installation of software and then manual install of driver, clean un/install both times
ipv4 manual entering of info, ip, dns, subnet etc
disabling of ipv6
made sure MAC of adapter is in modem/router config (192.168.2.1)
windows fix-it utility
restart of modem/router as well as computer
change of channels (1,3,5,6,8,9,11)
changing usb ports from front to back

PC Specs/Adapter/Modem:

gateway desktop (~2009)
windows 7 updated
adapter driver - 1006.3.820.2010 (date 8/20/2010)
bell 2wire modem updated firmware
*i get internet with ethernet plugged in, but I am way to far to use, and I have been trying with the ethernet adapter disabled/enabled*

Here is my ipconfig /all:

Also, the signal on my 2wire modem/router sucks, and want to setup my linksys router to emit a better signal. The configuration in 192.168.2.1 in my browser is quite confusing, and am wondering what exact items i must disable in order to turn it into a 'dumb' modem? I know i must configure my linksys to use PPPoE with the login information of the 2wire and hook that up from any port on the 2wire to the 'Internet' port on the linksys. Is this correct? Also, is there anything else I have to do?

I have been at this all day, if anyone could help I would love you forever.

solved : created static ip in ipv4 properties of wireless adapter.. i want to shoot myself now but i fixed it!!

still need help with pppoe q though
