I have next motherboard: Ga-Ep45c-Ds3
When i`m starting to install windows 7 ( 1 step), i have this message
Installation program hasn`t found HDD and so on.....
I have sata drivers for Xp/Vista 32, but not for Win7 on my Cd ( cd for my motherboard)
But OS writes, that they aren`t supported.

Is it problem in my Bios or Motherboard?
Or i should find specialsata-drivers for this OS?
( I have tried to install drivers for Vista and Xp)

Solution
When you encounter an issue with the Windows 7 installation not detecting the hard drive, there are a few potential reasons for this problem. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Steps to Resolve the Issue:

  1. Check BIOS Settings:
    • Enter your BIOS settings on your Gigabyte GA-EP45C-DS3 motherboard.
    • Look for options related to SATA settings. Ensure that the SATA mode is set to a compatible mode (like IDE or AHCI) rather than RAID.
    • Save any changes made in BIOS before exiting.
    []Install SATA Drivers:
    • Windows 7, especially on older motherboards, may need specific SATA drivers to detect the hard drive during installation.

    []Install SATA Drivers:
    • Windows 7, especially on older motherboards, may need specific SATA drivers to detect the hard drive during installation.
    • Check Gigabyte's official website for your motherboard model and download the Windows 7 compatible SATA drivers.
    • Create a USB drive with the SATA drivers to load during the Windows 7 installation process.
    [
    ]Prepare SATA Drivers:
    • If you have SATA drivers for Windows XP or Vista, they might not work for Windows 7. Ensure you have the correct drivers for Windows 7.
    • Extract the SATA drivers onto a USB drive that can be accessed during the Windows 7 installation.
    []Load Drivers During Installation:
    • When the message appears stating that the hard drive isn't detected, there should be an option to load drivers.
    • Insert your USB with the Windows 7 SATA drivers and load them during the installation process.
    [
    ]Driver Signing:
    • Windows 7 may also block drivers that are not signed. If the drivers are not loading due to this, you might need to disable driver signing enforcement temporarily.
    []Update BIOS:
    • It's also a good idea to ensure that your motherboard BIOS is up to date. Check Gigabyte's website for any BIOS updates for your motherboard model.
    [
    ]Confirm Hardware Compatibility:
    • Ensure that your hard drive is functioning properly and is compatible with the motherboard.

      Additional Tips:

      • Sometimes a simple reseating of the hard drive cables can also resolve detection issues.
      • Double-check the compatibility of the SATA drivers you are using for Windows 7.
By following these steps, you should be able to address the issue of Windows 7 not detecting your hard drive during installation. If you encounter any specific errors or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details for additional help.
