It looks like you're facing issues with the Start Menu after upgrading from Vista x64 to the RTM version. The problem seems to be related to the Aero theme not being fully applied to the Start Menu. To troubleshoot this issue, here are a few steps you can try: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause display issues. 2. Restart Windows Explorer: Sometimes, restarting the Windows Explorer process can resolve display issues. Here's how you can do it: - Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. - Under the Processes tab, right-click on Windows Explorer and select Restart. 3. Check Theme Settings: - Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. - Choose the Aero theme and make sure it is applied to all elements, including the Start Menu. 4. Run Windows Update: Make sure your system is fully updated through Windows Update. There might be patches or updates that address display issues. 5. Check for Software Conflicts: Some third-party software might conflict with the Aero theme. Try disabling any recently installed software to see if the issue resolves. 6. System File Checker (SFC): Run an SFC scan to check for and repair any corrupted system files. Here's how you can do it: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. - Wait for the scan to complete and follow any on-screen instructions. 7. Create a New User Account: Sometimes, user profile corruption can cause display issues. Try creating a new user account and see if the Start Menu works correctly there. Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue with the Start Menu not displaying properly in the Aero theme after the upgrade. Let me know if you need further assistance!
