Windows 7 problems with explorer.exe

hey guys,
I spent 3 hours trying to fix this explorer.exe problem. when i start my computer a message appears "windows explorer needs to shut down or restart".then the only thing i have is my wallpaper.no icons or task bar. The only way i can access anything thing is through task manager. I've tried almost all the you tube solutions and nothing worked. I did were i have to check the shell has the correct named explorer.exe it did. However when retyped it as Explorer.exe and then everything popped up but only lasted about 1 min. I seen other solution but required the win 7 disk which i don't have. , I
Someone please help, I give up. I"m usally good at fixing these kind of things but this one made me tap out. thanks guys.

Can you start in safe mode? Have you run or can you run any anti-virus programs?
