Hi

I've already added this to as a note in some other posts, but I'm finally doing the reinstall of all my versions of Windows, working my way back up to Windows 10.

So far I installed a new SSD to run W10 from, moved the connections around to get it on Disk 0, and got everything to show up in disk manager in the correct locations.

I disconnected the other drives, then I used the Falcon Factory Restore USB Drive to restore the original Windows 8 configuration and finally got all of the updates since Windows 8 went live installed.

That took about an hour alone.

I'ts now downloading Windows 8.1, I'd like to think that it will install it all up to date, but I'll probably have to update it too.

Once that's done I can upgrade to Windows 10.

I'm bored so that's why I'm posting this. LOL

Hi again.

Ok, it's starting the Windows 10 install process, now downloading Windows 10.

I already have a Windows 10 DVD, I probably could have started the upgrade process from it and saved the download time.

But I'm not sure if that's a legitimate way to do it and I don't want to take any chances at this point.

Once this is complete I can plug my other disk drives back in.

Then I can spend the next day or so installing all my software again.

Mike

Already downloaded and looking for updates.

Woo Hoo!!!

I'm done, Windows 10 all installed and everything works.
Now I'm going to shut down and connect my other drives.

5.5 hours start to finish.
