Windows 7 Random BSOD's caused by ntoskrnl.exe and srvnet.sys

Hi forum,

Lately I have been getting more BSOD's and I searched for solutions but I've got no clue of what I should do. BlueScreenView says the problem is with ntoskrnl.exe and srvnet.sys. I'm not that good with computers so I hope you guys can help me out.

I'll attach the files that were asked for. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi,
sounds like you may have a network issue possibly an old driver. I also need to know the name and make of your system especially motherboard. CPU-Z does a shot of the mainboard, if you post a picture of that it would help lot's..

I didn't realise you were using a laptop as drivers for lappies usually come straight from the manufacturer. I've had a quick look and your bios has an update pending as well as their being updates for the driver section too. (especially those USB3 drivers).

Any probs please post back.

Sorry, I should have said what I'm working with. That exactly the machine I'm on.

De MSI website says I have to make a bootable USB flashdrive and update the BIOS through DOS. Do you know any other way of updating the BIOS? I don't trust myself enough to screw around with this kind of stuff in DOS.

Also, do you know where I can find those other drivers?

You need to download the bios zip file and then:
Please execute "flash.bat" file after unpack the compressed file for upgrade BIOS Firmware.

(basically unzip the file, look in the revealed folder, you'll see one file called Flash batch or flash bat, right click it, choose properties and then 'run as admin'. The bios update should then run through. Don't turn off the machine at any point until it's finished even if it's taking a while)

Which 'other' drivers do you actually mean?

It seems that update is for 32bit systems only. And there doesn't appear to be a x64 download anywhere.

And nevermind the other drivers, I found them.

Did your laptop originally come with windows 8 and do you have an UEFI Bios? If so look under the instructions for UEFI bios updates.

I haven't had a BSOD since uninstalling AVG and updating those drivers last tuesday.

And what do I gain from an updated BIOS? My laptop runs fine now so could I skip that update?
