Windows 7 Red X on network icon atfer installing Bluesoleil (8.0.356.0 ).

Hi guys,

I recently installed Bluesoleil 8.0.356.0 on my pc and my network icon gives me a red x symbol even though I'm connected to a network or if there are networks available. I tried uninstalling and rebooting, but no luck. Anyone else have this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Is your network adapter showing as fully working in device manager? And what does your ipconfig listing show for it?

No ! or ? in my device manager, and my Network adapter says it's working properly. As for my ipconfig listing...

I assume you're referring to the wireless adapter. Three points to start with:

1. Both the the dhcp and dns server addresses are very odd - are you part of a greater network? Have they been manually or automatically set?

2. You have IPv6 configured and you are unlikely to be using it - you should consider disabling.

3. The lease time for your IP address allocation is very short - you might amend your router config to lengthen it.

I'm currently deployed now and using the network the base provides, which I assume is the reason for the odd address.
How would I go about disabling the IPv6?
I've been using this network for some time now and everything was working fine. It started when I installed that bluetooth program Bluesoleil, so I'm sure it has something to do with that.

Sorry but not sure what this means. Do you mean you are part of a subnetwork attached to a larger one and are you on a router or cable connection?

IPv6 is accessed via the properties of the wireless network adapter.

I'm in the military and not in country. But I believe that its part of a sub network, and its a router connection.

Ok - that explains a bit. Depends on your setup on the sub and main network but I'd first try setting the dns server address to 10.0.51.1

The thing is, I believe my connection is fine. Its gotta be something that program changed or did. Thanks so far for the help =)
I've been using the same connection for the past month now, and I always look at my network icon to see how strong my signal is, and it happened when I installed that damn program .

Easiest way to check that out would be a system restore back to before the install.

Thanks for the feedback. For future reference for yourself at least might be interesting to examine your ipconfig now and see if some changes were being made to that or if the problem was caused by changes made in other areas.

To resolve this problem

Simplest way is just restore your computer

goto

Start menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools

Then select System Restore

And select restore point when Bluesoleil is installed

This is done.

1-device manger show all HIDDEN device UNINSTALL all network devices from network if some of them not delete disable it
2-from your lan driver use the uninstall
3-remove your cable then restart
4-type in start regedit >>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network
5-right click export network on desktop and delete config do not restart your pc
6-install your lan driver
7-put your cable fixed
