Yet when I try to do something I get a pop up stating that I need Administrator priveledges in order to do whatever.
Howdo I fix this?
Thanks.

If you don't want to turn off UAC, you can Right-click an exe or shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an administrator:

(you'll need to do so for every program that pops up UAC, so INSTEAD you may want to adjust its settings or turn it off)

Agreed, it's the UAC asking for your permission. Check the above links.

Respectfully disagree.
UAC is already off.
I am the admin. When I go into the control panel > log ons I am listed as the admin.
Yet when I try to do anything I get told I don't have admin authority.
Thanks.
