Windows 7 taskbar not sickey

Hi,
I have a wide screen laptop so I usually dock my task bar on the right hand sidde o the screen. When I reboot windows 7 the task bar reverts to it's default location at the bottom of the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this just one of the Beta things?

my taskbar is docked at the right hand side of my widescreen and it hasnt given me any problems so far

If you open properties for "taskbar" there is a selection for where you want your taskbar. Perhaps if you move the taskbar without changing this setting, it reverts.
