This is more of my buddys problem, not mine, I'm just trying to help him out, he just bought a computer today, it's showing that he has an internet connection but it won't let him browse the net, Page Cannon Be Displayed error message comes up, I already checked the security settings on internet explorer but that wasn't it, does anyone else have any suggestions?? he has it hooked up to a router. I'm not sure if its a networking issue or what. like I said, it shows that there's a connection, but the browser won't display any web page. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

open a command prompt and type ipconfig /all post back a screen shot of the results

Solution
While you're at the command prompt, type ping google.com, and see if there are lost packets.

My average response time is 45ms. What's yours?
