Can anyone tell me why can't I update 1 of my important updates? The update code is 80073712. It's been almost 3 weeks that i can't do this update! Please help me~

This is for either Windows features or error message
"0x80073712"

When you try to use Windows Update

The "Windows Features" dialog box is empty in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, or you receive an error message that includes the following code when you try to use Windows Update: "0x80073712"

Can you confirm that the update number is 80073712, which is an old Vista update, or you are getting an error code, which Iben has referred to, 0x80073712?

Mine's correct. There's no 0x infront of the update code.

Maybe your OS is an upgrade from Vista?
If so, you can right clicik the proposed update and "hide" it. It won't trouble you again.
