Windows 8 W8 Crash

Sorry for the confusion. Please follow the instructions i gave above (you don't need a zip app win 8 has one) and then post the folder in this thread like you would a screenshot (basically all your doing is attaching the file so we can download it)

This should be easy so I apologize for ALL the problems, when I tried to compress the folder I received an error message advising “File not found or no read permission”

Very VERY StRaNgE, I decided to look at the minidumps folder again and it appears to be Zipped even though it previously advised me “File not found or no read permission”.
Hopefully you guys are able to look at the files and (somehow) figure out WHAT'S GOING ON since I am leaning toward placing the W8 instillation CD in the CD Drive and performing a Clean Install of W8 (since the upgrade install over W7 is causing me LOTS of problems).
Thanks you for your help guys,
Bob

I will gladly rePOST but as I indicated previously, when I tried to compress the folder I received an error message advising “File not found or no read permission” so without your help/guidence, I have nothing to POST
Bob

why don't you just attach a dump file (a dump file is the files you found inside the minidump folder) like you did with the above minidump zip? That's all we need, the dump file. If you have to post them one at a time so be it.

Let's try this

Hi,

thank you.. :)

MRESP50a64.SYS Sat Nov 19 08:14:28 2005: This is way too old and causing the crash.(see below)

Are you running software called Rawether? Or PCAUSA? It's this that's causing ndis.sys to crash. Please remove/uninstall and test.

I don't know what MRESP50a64.SYS is and don't understand what you mean by it's "way too old and causing the crash".
Is MRESP50a64.SYS a VALID file and a more current version SHOULD be there or is MRESP50a64.SYS a BOGUS file?

Are you running software called Rawether? Or PCAUSA?
I never heard of either of these programs and certainly did NOT install them. I went to Control Panel--->Uninstall and could not find either of them

I am glad to hear that you found something Kemical, I will hold off on a Clean Install of W8 and await your instructions on how to get rid of this malicious software.

Thank you for ALL your help.
Bob

Hi,

MRESP50a64.SYS relates to network software either called rawether or pcausa. Perhaps your running something related, can you tell me what kind of network set up you have going?

Hi Kemical, I am a HOME user and have a HP Desktop that is connected to the Internet via a Netgear combo Modem/router (that was provided to us by AT&T) for DSL service. We also have a Kindle and iPad.
Bob

FYI Kemical, I did a Search on PCUSA and found their Website (which I never saw before and have no use for their product) and it says:

Welcome!

If you have reached the PCAUSA Rawether for Windows website it is likely that you are a Microsoft Windows software developer looking for answers to some apparently simple questions:

How can I send and receive RAW Ethernet packets from my Win32 application?

How can I query and set NDIS adapter driver information from my Win32 application?

You may also have some additional requirements in mind:

I would like a solution that will work on all current Microsoft Windows platforms.

I would like a solution that does not require Windows device driver programming.

I would like the flexibility of using either the 'C' or the .NET Framework development environment.

You may also be a Windows device driver developer asking:

Where can I find NDIS protocol driver samples that are well debugged and actively supported across all current Windows platforms?

Where can I find samples that show how to install and uninstall an applications and a companion NDIS protocol driver?

Hi Bob,

after chatting with a Usasma, our resident blue screen expert. The above software is probably linked to some sort of network printer or printer communications. Have you installed any third party apps which might be linked? Also can you list, if possible, what third party applications and drivers you installed after installation of win 8?

Your network ( RTL8111F) driver is old please update: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...8168E/RTL8111F

Thank you Kemical and Usasma,
Have you installed any third party apps which might be linked?
I don't think so Kemical at least not intentional (i.e. some programs might have done so without my approval and/or myknowledge)

Also can you list, if possible, what third party applications and drivers you installed after installation of win 8?
Sure but can you tell me how to do this?

Your network ( RTL8111F) driver is old please update: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...8168E/RTL8111F
Thank you Kemical, it's now up to date

I ran a HijackTHIS log (see below), that I thought this might help

Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 is Speech Recognition software program Kemical that I've been using for years.
I upgraded the drivers for W8, that's not causing the problem(s).
Have you ruled out PCAUSA and Rawethe?
They apparently are imbedded since I could not find them when I searched Apps, Settings and Files
Is their anything that I can do to help Kemical?
Right now the system has been stable for 24-36 hours but I don't have much confidence that this will not happen again since it happened twice and I (or I should say you) have not done anything to indicate that "the culprit" has been found and removed.
I await your further instructions.
Thank you for ALL your help Kemical.
Bob

Hey Kemical, I may be throwing doo-doo against the wall but you never know if it helps, I use IE, Mozilla and Chrome browsers and have attached the add-ons / PlugIn for Mozilla.
I hope this helps and please let me know what I can do to help you help me (with this problem)?
Thanks,
Bob

Actually that sounds promising as your network driver was in the frame as a culprit.

If by network you mean the wireless network, we have a Netgear Modem/router combo that was provided to us by AT&T.
I appreciate your help Kemical, hopefully you'll identify the problem and I;ll be out of your hair.
Thanks,
Bob

Now it's getting REAL sTrAnGe Kemical, when I went to my Yahoo mail account, I noticed the following (see attachment) and I NEVER use or use Conversation nor do I know who this "person" is.
I don't know if you guys have come up with something but it surely appears that someone has "invited" themselves into my computer and it's NOT a situation that I want to be in.
Bob
