Windows 7 Where has IE gone?

Can't find IE anywhere in the menus? Where has the browser gone?

go down to start and in the search box type iexplore and press enter. This should launch internet explorer if it is on your computer.

I guessed I could find it there but I did at least expect that to be on the start menu !!

See that "e"-icon on the taskbar? Next to the Start-button. Click it.

On mine IE is on the taskbar and Program menu, twice, one 32bit, one 64bit.
