P pas New Member Joined Nov 11, 2009 Nov 11, 2009 #1 Upgrading Windows 7 Ultimate from Vista Ultimate. The install process stops and informs me of a needed upgrade: Adaptec SCSI Card 39160. I do have the card installed with no RAID setup. It is the latest version and I had no problem under Vista install.

Did the compatibility check show this to be a problem? Or, remove the card. You might try disabling it in Device Manager, but I don't know if that will work.
