Good day!

Hi. I have problem on BSOD with ntoskrnl.exe. It has been a big problem for me for the past 2 weeks. I have no idea what is happening. Occasionally it appears pretty frequent, however, sometimes it takes a day to get BSOD again. After numerous of occurrence, I notice that sometimes when I click the windows explorer quick launch, the BSOD just turn up! I hereby attached the zip file of the minidump I have saved. Hope someone can help me with this problem.

Many thanks in advance!

Welcome.

Hi there. Thanks for replying. Can you tell me what is hafta post and spd tab?

Remove Norton AND AVG in safe mode with the tools to see how it goes. Boot to normal mode after that's done and install MSE to replace.

Google is your friend for the tools and MSE too.

Might be good. Post any new crash dumps after if they happen.

Dear TorrentG,

I am sorry that I ask too many questions. Does it mean that my RAM has problem? What is RMA? When you say replace the RAM entirely with a new matching set, does it mean buying new RAM and Motherboard? Actually I have just bought this laptop in Aug 2010

Hi TorrentG,

I have followed all your instructions on using tools to remove AVG and Norton Antivirus and install MSE. However, the problem still persists when I clicked on the windows explorer icon. Attached is the minidump. Hope you can help me.....Thank you so much

iastor.sys, which is Intel Matrix Storage driver, looks good enough but yet run Intel Driver Update Utility to see if it finds any updates for your motherboard including for Intel Matrix Storage and Intel Management Interface:

You have MSE and Microsoft Forefront System, should be OK.

And last but not at all the least, you have DDR3 533 Mhz set as 532Mhz 7-7-7-20-60, while it should be 533 Mhz 7-7-7-20-27 1.5v.
